BIMCO Unveils BIMCON for Newbuilding Ships and Opportunitties in India Conference
The BIMCO Executive Committee will meet in Mumbai on the 3 March 2008. To mark the occasion, BIMCO will host a BIMCO Presentation as well as a BIMCO 39 Knowledge Network Seminar on Tuesday 4 March.
The BIMCO Presentation takes place at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai from 10:30 to 12.30. BIMCO President Philip Embiricos will introduce the programme, followed by BIMCO Deputy Secretary General Søren Larsen, presenting the groundbreaking BIMCO Standard Newbuilding Contract NEWBUILDCON. BIMCO Secretary General Carsten Melchiors will brief the participants on current industry issues which are presently on BIMCO's working agenda. Finally, Capt. Michael P. Elwert from BIMCO's Sales and Marketing will give a general introduction to BIMCO.
In the afternoon from 14.00 to 18:30, the BIMCO 39 Knowledge Seminar will similar take place at the Taj Mahal. Under the common heading "An Overview of Indian Shipping Opportunities and Maritime Training", a range of speakers will discuss Indian Shipping Opportunities. Full Programme
