This is a time for Deck officers to obtain B.Sc. (Nautical Science) Degree
equivalent latter on basis of COC 1st class as Master F.G.

Now Mumbai University recognizes the Certificate of Competency as Master of
Foreign Going Ship Examination as equivalent to B.Sc. (Nautical Science)
Degree.

Procedure: How to obtain?

1. Interested officers should visit "Eligibility Section of Ambedkar
Bhavan of Mumbai University , Kalina, Santacruz" -University CAMPUS is very
big so proceed only to Ambedkar Bhavan.
2. Fillup form (attached)
3. Keep cash ready Rs 5000
4. Photocopy of Masters C.O.C, C.D.C, Passport and 12th Pass
certificate.
5. Officers should also carry the original documents for verification.
It may be noted that original documents are returned forthwith after
verification, they are not kept by University.
6. Once you submit before 11:00 am week days you will get Certificate
on next day PM.

If you are in emergency then kindly request staff to give you on same day by
showing Air Ticket etc.

USE of such certificate:

Candidates can use this certificate to apply for MBA or higher education for
degree eligibility in future.
